Senate Hearing on 03/05/15 9:00 CT: Health IT Transformation: EHR → Better Care?
The hearing was postponed because of weather issues (it is snowing in Washington, DC, right now and the federal government is closed today). It generally takes 1-3 weeks to reschedule a hearing, given the other issues on the Committee’s agenda, as well as other Committee business already scheduled. The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee has announced a full committee hearing on America’s Health IT Transformation: Translating the Promise of Electronic Health Records into Better Care on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at 10:00 AM eastern (9:00 AM central).This is the first Health IT hearing by this committee in 5 years. Focus will be on EHRs and are they delivering on their promise of better care. The hearing witness list:
